2004 Holiday Party and Ornament Exchange

This general meeting will feature a Show and Tell of the progress made with the year-long projects chosen by the members prior to the January meeting. Numerous prizes will be awarded. This also will be our holiday party and ornament exchange.


We had a wonderful holiday meeting full of good times, good food and good friends!

Leslie Lewis began the meeting with some announcements. Upcoming meetings were reviewed and we were reminded to renew our memberbership dues for 2005.

We would like to thank the outgoing officers:

Next, we had our ornament exchange. Four members made ornaments this year. Each ornament was beautiful and unique.

The 2004 projects were displayed on tables at the back of the room. The program chair, Kathy Borne, gave out prizes – items from her own stash that she had decided not to stitch. Each member that completed a project got to take their choice of the kits and charts that she brought. After the awards were complete, the other members were invited to come up and take any of the items that remained. The projects that were displayed are listed below.


Susan Balsai has made good progress on MH 1724, a Darlene O’Stein piece from her 2nd cancer benefits seminar
And last, but not least, Leslie Lewis got her project started!
Congratulations to everyone who completed their contract project! For those who didn’t finish, thanks for sharing your progress and you’ll get another chance to finish next year! And special thanks to Kathy for the generous prizes.
