On Satuday 6/16/2013,Margriet Hogue will teach a workshop titled 1730 Scottish Sampler at the Wheaton Community Center. In 1730 Elizabeth Flochart stitched this beautiful sampler. Pansy bands and Fish eye bands are frequently found on Scottish samplers, as are the trees on mounds, rabbits, and dogs.
The sampler is worked on 40 count linen, with silk floss. Stitches used are cross stitch over two, cross stitch over one, satin, double running and queen stitches.
The kit will have the 40 count linen,silk floss, photograph, chart/instructions, and needle.
