3/14/10  Monica Pratt from Welcome Stitchery will join us for a presentation about framing needlework.  Monica has owned and operated a needlework shop and needlework framing business for over twenty years.  She will discuss the many options available when framing a piece of needlework.  She will bring examples of framed pieces from her business.  She will also give us insights into what we can do from the start of our projects to make them more successful as framed heirlooms.  Join us for a lively discussion.

6/13/10 Lori Markovic from La D Da Designs will be our guest with a unique project for our guild.  She has designed a charming fishy ort box with a wink and a nod to the Lake Michigan Guild Fishing Ladies.  The entire kit price is $35, no teaching fees.  Lori will show us the finishing techniques for this piece and bring a little trunk show of her fabulous designs!  What a fun way to kick off the summer with a fishy fun project!

8/21/10 Tricia Nguyen Wilson will teach two workshops on Saturday.  The Jacobean Silk Purl Flower with gilt silk twist purl , and the Abby Cozzens 1836 Sampler Family Register Sampler with crinkled silk technique.  Tricia will also stay for a short lecture about 17th century thread techniques at the end of the workshops.
