 Create
a five-pocket lining and stitching accessories for a hand-crafted, lidded, swing handle
Shaker box (size 5). Worked on 36-count cream linen, each pocket features a design
reminiscent of an English-style band sampler. The simple color scheme features greens,
reds, browns and purple Au Ver a Soie, Soie d'Alger. Fill your box with a Queen
Stitch Pinball, a scissors minder and a needlecase.
Double Running Stitch is the predominate stitch. Other accent stitches include Queen Stitch, Satin Cushion, Petit Point, Stem Stitch, Four-sided, Double Straight Cross-Stitch, French Knot and Cross-Stitch over One.  Kit
cost includes linen, silk threads, Shaker box and most finishing materials such as
hand-made wool tape, wool needlepage, wool batt, ultrasuede, muslin, ribbon, interlining
and batting. Photographs, needles, practice fabric, instructions, charts and
threads for twist trims are also included.Scroll frame to accommodate the pocket section should be brought to class. The accessories can be worked on a separate scroll frame or stretcher bars or in a small hoop (5"). Fabric for the pocket section is cut 6" x 30". Intermediate to advanced level. The fee is $165.00 for the kit plus a teaching fee to be determined. |
