There are two Merry Cox workshops. Saturday, June 8th, will be the Swan Lake Drawstring Mending Bag and Sunday. June 9th, will be the Milady's Petite Sewing Box. Sign up with $25.00 deposit starts immediately. There will be no kits available to those who do not plan on attending the workshop. The deadline for signup will be March 24th.

Kits will be available at the April 14th meeting for pickup allowing almost two months for pre-stitching. The only pre-stitching that HAS to be done for the workshop is on the bag and/or box itself. The smalls can be completed at a later date if need be. The workshop will concentrate on the FINISHING of the main item. You will be expected to attend the workshop and the balance of the kit fee and the teaching fee will be due on the day of the workshop.

If you are unable to attend the meeting, please send a check for $4.00 made out to Lake Michigan Sampler Guild to the address below and the kit will be sent to you.

When you register for the class, please let us know if you can bring a sewing machine.  We will need approximately one machine for every six attendees.  We also need  irons and ironing boards and Olfa cutters and boards (used by quilters).

The kit fees are as follows: Swan Lake $130.00 and Milady $65.00. Merry does not put a maximum on the number of participants, so the teaching fee will depend on the number of attendees. That cost will be estimated in April when we know how many will attend.

On Sunday, June 9th, Merry Cox's "Milady's Petite Sewing Box" features a regal lady holding a  bouquet of flowers with her cat nearby under a tree. An alphabet on the back has areas for personalization. Accessories include a crowned pincushion, a pin keep, a scissors fob and a needlebook. The box is 4" X 2" X 2" and stitched on 32 count linen with silks and overdyed flosses. The fee is $65.00 for the kit plus a teaching fee which will be estimated in April.
