Linn Skinner Linn will discuss the role of Lady Visitors as teachers of needlework, the development of the National Curriculum and its needlework teaching requirements, the role of school inspectors and the rise and fall of the plain sewing sampler in the UK and internationally. Plain sewing samplers from her collection will be available for view as well as her collection of early instruction books. |
