On February 22nd, the Lake Michigan Sampler Guild is sponsoring a special lecture program presented by Carol Humphrey, curator of textiles for the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge, England.  Her lecture is titled "Patterns, people, prints and politics: Images and symbols on 17th Century Samplers". The lecture will be held at the Glen Ellyn Park District at 200 Main Street. Doors open at 12:30 and the lecture will begin promptly at 1:00PM. This lecture is open to the general public and there is an admission fee of $25 at the door. Guild members can purchase tickets in advance for $20.

We need your help to get the word out about the lecture to other guilds, needlework shops and newspapers. Flyers are available online for you to print and distribute in black and white and color. Contact Leslie Lewis to volunteer to help or to get more information.

Please let all of your friends who are interested in antique needlework know about this special presentation!
