Create an Elizabethan Rose on an antique ribbon bobbin. This darling small is a rose created with detached buttonhole on 28 count linen with options for the center design. When stitched, this will be placed on a bobbin from a Pennsylvania ribbon manufacturing plant from the 1850″s. The design is compliments of Rae Iverson of Moss Creek Designs. The kit cost will be $8 and extra bobbins can be purchased for $5 each. Sign up by the October meeting.
We’ll also have our Garage Sale that was originally scheduled for the September meeting. So look through your stash to make some cash! All needlework related items are welcome in the sale including books, charts, finished items, unfinished items–whatever. It is traditional to donate 10% of your profit to the LMSG because we are a non-profit organization.
Carol Schaal will be on hand to answer any questions you may have about finishing. She will bring her cording tools so start thinking about how you want to finish those holiday ornaments! If you want help with making cording, please bring floss, pearl cotton, etc.
We had a busy agenda for our November meeting. Leslie Lewis opened the meeting with some announcements followed by a preview of our 2009 schedule and show and tell. Carol Schaal presented our program “A Small Surprise” and then we had our Garage Sale.
We had quite a few items for show and tell. Click on the links below for a description and picture.
