|
We will be reproducing an 1842 Quaker pinball and looking into the history of these tiny tokens. The pictures below show the original antique knitted pinball that inspired our project. Click on each picture for a larger image. Our version will be stitched on dark linen.
HighlightsWe had a great meeting today, learning the history of pincushions, their fillings, and looking at some of the beautiful pieces is museums around the world. Karyn presented everyone with kits to reproduce an 1842 quaker pin disc on 40 count Havana Weeks Dye Works linen with silk thread. We were able to welcome two new members. Updates for Catherine Theron's June class is available in the Schedule & Programs sections. Registration for this class has been extended until May 1, 2012. |
