January 2019 Meeting – Victorian Rose Basket Needlebook Part 1

Sunday, Januay 13, 2019

Time: 1:30-3:30
Location: Barrington Library (confirmed)

Please join us for our first meeting of 2019 where we will be starting a three month project. Rae Iverson of Moss Creek Designs has graciously given LMSG permission to kit and stitch her Victorian Rose Basket Needlebook. The first month we will learn how to do the pulled stitches on the cover.

The design includes the specialty stitches–Broad Chain, Eye Pulled, French Diagonal, Italian Cross Pulled, Nun Stitch, One over One, Padded Satin, Palestrina Knot, Pins & Three-Sided Pull.

Over the first 3 months of 2019, Judy Dixon and Marilyn Vanover will assist as we work on this beautiful needlebook together. Rae has excellent directions and pictures of all the stitches.

Kits with all materials will be available at a cost of $10. Thanks to Judy Dixon for putting these kits together.

Please bring basic sewing supplies to the meetings as well as a piece of linen for practice.
